Realms of My Youth Kindle Edition

My youth was different than most and this book explains why. It involves weird and wonderful situations and the memories they created. My awareness began in a small Ohio farming village named Avon when my parents moved there in the middle of the twentieth century. A decade ago, memories of my youth in Avon began replaying in my mind. They became an obsession and led to a ten-year quest to understand the causes. I discovered them in ten dimensions of my youth I call realms. Some were on our family farm that became an Avon landmark. Others were places that moved or created sounds or sights that shaped my youth, and my life. The most interesting realms were people themselves, first a unique blended family that created my first memories and later the girls of my youth who created intense memories. Youth is wasted without learning, and a small Catholic school named St. Mary’s was my first learning realm, and the one I remember best. Read more
